My name is Laura and I live in Simi Valley , CA. I was touched and honored to receive this global gift bag on July 24, 2008 by my brother, Jud. As he is aware that each of our lives comes with challenges, I believe he offered it to me as we share similar spiritual beliefs and are open to receiving the gifts of the Universe. What an honor to be a part of this, and the forethought of this concept from the wonderful woman who created
this gift. So now that I have received with gratitude, it is my turn to pass the gift on. But to who? The choices run through my mind...There was the sweet kind
woman at the dance studio who asked about my disabled nephew and also commented on my "give/receive necklace I was wearing....but the rest of the bag and the scroll were on my nightstand with my other spiritual paraphernalia staying "charged". The next day I received an email from my friend Kaila..one of my spiritual teachers, even though she may not be aware that I think of her in that light. She underwent her second mastectomy yesterday and who better to give an opportunity to receive from the Universe. She will be out of commission for a while, so she is not quite ready to receive from me, but I am thinking about mailing it to her. Then last night, I received a phone call from my Jazzersize instructor/ now friend as well . She has been a huge source of my recovery from the wounds of my divorce in a very powerful way, yet she comes from a very religious background, not so much spiritual. There are many people who pop into my mind who I think about wanting to pass on this wonderful gift...If only Jud gave me a lot more gift bags.
So here I sit with the necklace around my neck. I chose a lavender colored shirt, just to match with it. I really like the necklace and am still enjoying it a bit before I am to pass it along. But what this has helped me realize is that I am blessed with many special people. Some , practically strangers, some who I've know for years, others I've known for my entire life. This has given me the opportunity to pay attention to the gifts I have received from them and to recognize and be grateful for them. I am going to continue to be a bit more patient and enjoy the people and thoughts that the Universe presents me with these next few days, and I believe that when the time is right, I will know exactly who to pass this gift along too.
Thank you for this opportunity.
If possible I would love to be able to read the future emails of the people who follow ahead of me.

Yesterday I was in line at the post office. A postal employee motioned me to a shorter line and the woman behind me followed. She was lovely and made sure I was at the head of this new line since I had been in front of her in the previous longer line. When I was finished with my postal business I turned back to her and handed her a bag. She was very happy and surprised. She gave me a hug and said,”Oh thank you so much! This is for me! What did you give me!?” As she excitedly opened the bag I walked away with a smile. She really brightened my day. Thank you Lisa for facilitating this fun receive and give.

Hi Lisa,

I used to give my photography away to friends who needed head shots for various things but couldn't afford it. Until someone said to me: "When you give your work away, you are telling the world you don't value it very highly." So a friend at a non-profit film place asked me to take pictures for free at an event for Louis Malle. I REALLY liked his films, so I said yes. Then I called back and told her, "You have to pay me something, even if it's just 10 bucks." She said: "OK, how about 10 bucks?" So I photographed Louis Malle for 10 bucks and was invited out to dinner with the whole group and sat next to him all night!

Thank you Lisa for such a great opportunity to expand our consciousness. I have several gift bags. I gave 1 plus a monetary tip to a musician in Corpus Christi, Texas, who was playing guitar and singing at a local seafood restaurant. He smiled and said thank you and continued singing.

While I was at a popular coffee shop in San Antonio, Texas, I gave another gift bag to someone sitting outside. She was writing and smiled in surprise accepted and continued working. I noticed that she was too curious and could not continue her work without opening the bag. She sort of peeked in and then continued writing. I was pretty uncomfortable giving the gift. Of course maybe she was studying and should not have been interrupted. My hesitation was curious to me since I am not shy to talk to strangers. The idea of giving to a stranger opens new territory. This was a very good exercise in personal growth.

I gave 2 others to my daughter so she could give one away. When she saw me wearing mine she immediately asked about it. She loved the idea and was excited to give one away. She approached a person at a store. They were pleasantly surprised and grateful. The feeling she received from this activity was quite freeing she said.

She now also gives people dollar bills for the fun of it. I haven’t seemed to be able to approach someone as easily as she. We both give to the homeless when we see them on the street. I am working on my ease of ability to just give to a stranger for the sake of giving.

With Love,

I received a lovely bag with a lovely wooden pendant in on it from Lisa! I felt very special and it filled me with warmth. Thank you, Lisa. I spent time with a young person in much need after that receiving that gift.
I will continue to give as I have received so much!
